Pull manufacturing, extended upstream into capital.
For a century, supply led demand. Factories guessed, capital was committed on a hunch, and the gap between intention and outcome was filled with waste.
Toyota inverted part of this: demand pulls inventory rather than speculation pushing it. We extend that inversion one step further upstream — verified demand pulls the capital allocation itself. The preimage of a product forms before a single part is cast.
Demand alone is a wish; capital alone is speculation; idle capacity is just machinery. Only their product — demand ⊗ capital ⊗ capacity — is a buildable fact. When committed reservations cross the viability threshold, and only then, a build activates.
